Description
For over 10 years, the number of students with disabilities in technical college programs has been on the rise. This diversity poses challenges for education stakeholders, particularly during internships. The obstacles encountered can be physical, social or pedagogical. To overcome them, it's essential to involve the people concerned in reflecting on their situation and on ways of achieving internship objectives.
Cégep Limoilou has experimented with a range of individual and collective support tools to help students with disabilities prepare for their internship. Effective tools to support reflection and the implementation of means to compensate for their limitations will be presented.
Interprofessional collaboration is essential to ensure the participation of students with disabilities in internships and facilitate their transition to the labour market.
