Marc-Antoine Charette
Secretary
Assistant Director, Office of Research, Statistics and Institutional Development,
Cégep de Lanaudière
Marc-Antoine, who has a university background in literature and pedagogy, first worked as a teacher of French and French as a second language in various CEGEPs in Quebec. After more than five years of teaching in a variety of contexts, he has pursued graduate and post-graduate studies in education, with a research project on the teaching of Indigenous literatures.
Throughout his career, Marc-Antoine has always found the association to be an essential forum for exchange, whether to enrich his own practice or to support the pedagogical development of his colleagues. He joined the board amid the pandemic, a major challenge that he believes has enabled the organization to expand its service offering and strengthen its pedagogical activities, despite economic constraints.
His involvement is based on his conviction that sharing and collaboration are essential to the advancement of pedagogy. He is particularly proud of the work done on governance to ensure the sustainability and long-term development of the association. For Marc-Antoine, the AQPC is a true catalyst of pedagogical innovation, providing numerous training and networking opportunities for higher education professionals.
