Osmose: Overview of a Cégep@distance Experiment
At Cégep@distance, Denis Béliveau and his colleagues conducted an experiment aimed at enhancing student interaction and social presence. Via a digital learning platform inspired by social software, the research team evaluated the effect of such an environment on student success and academic perseverance. The project has opened the door to deliberations on the potential of Web 2.0 and new forms of collaboration in distance learning.
