Four Views, One Portrait

Gazaille, Mariane

Within the scope of the file on the Métarecherche sur les TIC en pédagogie: du diagnostic au pronostic, the author of this article relates the views emerging from a meeting of four experts brought together, at the request of the ARC, to discuss how to successfully integrate ICTs in college teaching. To the question: “In your opinion, what are the main determining factors and conditions to ensure that the use of ICTs has a positive pedagogical impact”, the answers provided by the experts can be summarized in 6 points: 1) the organizational context, an essential support; 2) the teacher, as a front line player; 3) the modalities of using ICTs, that is, the epistemic position and curricular alignment (or teaching-learning-evaluation cohesion); 4) the successful integration of ICTs; 5) the student, a learner of ICTs, and learning with ICTs; and 6) leadership from the teacher and the social divide, which refers to the systematic differences between socioeconomic groups.
