What are Quebec’s Educational Needs?
What are Quebec’s educational needs? This is the question the group led by Jean Barbe, Marie-France Bazzo and Vincent Marissal tried to answer, in a document that Julie Roberge, who teaches at the Cégep André-Laurendeau, urges us to read. Some of the remarks quoted are tinged with nostalgia for an idealized past, while others offer interesting avenues for exploration, such as the “de-utilitarization” of schools and enhanced status for education across the province. Nonetheless, the author deplores the fact that far too little importance is placed on college teaching and research.
The Centre de documentation collégiale (CDC) offers an extensive collection of documents on college-level education and on education in general, produced by professionals in leading facilities and organizations.
